Tiina Toomet Veterinary Clinic, one of the first private veterinary clinics in Estonia, was founded in October 1991, but we welcomed our first patient on the 29th of January 1992. As of today, we are in our fourth location, which finally seems big enough for all our needs.<\/p>\n

The waiting room, which also acts as a sale space is spacious and secluded so that dogs and cats can peacefully wait for their appointment. What do we do?<\/h3>

We help your pet stay well. For that we practice preventive medicine (vaccination, parasite control, advice on balanced diet plans, hereditary disease analysis and much more), we sell nutritional supplements and different pet care products, some toys and dog and cat food (mostly special diets).<\/p>\n

If your pet is to fall ill, our clinic has many specialists in addition to internal medicine and surgical doctors:\u00a0 our ophthalmologist Dr. \u00dclle Kell and dermatologists Dr. Tiina Toomet and Dr. Inessa Zaitseva. Dr. Angela Tiivel is determined to continue her education in cardiology and haematology. Dr. Merit Villemson-Kavak, who specialises in depth in cardiorespiratory diseases has consultations in our clinic at least once a month.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p><\/div>

Treatment<\/h3>

The basis of successful treatment is proper diagnostic work-up. Hematological and biochemical analyzers and an X-ray and ultrasound machine help us to determine the disease faster and more correctly and therefore to treat our patients more efficiently. Urine samples, blood analysis, skin scrapes and ear and skin cytology \u2013 this is what our small laboratory deals with every day. Regarding more complicated lab tests we cooperate with many laboratories like Synlab in Estonia, Patovet and Vetlab in Finland, Laboklin in Germany, Alk-Abello in Holland and FOCUS in Great Britain.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>\n<\/div><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div><\/div>

Operations<\/h3>
<\/div><\/div><\/div>

Surgeries take place in the surgical theatre separated from the rest of the clinic, where only the surgeon and operation nurse(s) have access to, thus guaranteeing a sterile environment. We mostly use inhalation anesthesia and special monitors to assess the patient\u2019s condition. Our operation theatre has up-to-date furnishings and the surgeon always has one or two nurses, to monitor your pet\u2019s condition.<\/p>\n

The hours following the operation, the patient spends in a cage under the surveillance of the assistants. We only send home patients who are awake and in a stable condition. We can also keep non-surgical patients in the clinic during the day, who need extensive work-ups or monitoring.<\/p>\n

Our clinic is fortunate in having innovative animal-loving staff members, who enjoy their work. Each one has found a specialty close to their hearts and therefore are happy to constantly widen their knowledge by going to continuing education events.<\/p>\n

We are also very happy to have wonderful assistants and nurses, who have trained themselves from regular dog-lovers to valued professionals, without whom the doctors could not imagine their day-to-day work.<\/p>\n<\/div><\/section><\/p>\n<\/div><\/div>
